Education
Pille has a BSc degree in Psychology from the University of Tartu, Estonia and a MSc in Occupational Health Psychology from the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at the University of Nottingham. In March 2013 she started her doctoral studies as the Early Stage Research Fellow in the frames of Marie Curie FP7 Initial Training Network at the Department of Sociology and Work Science, the University of Gothenburg.

Research interests
Her research interests are related to the multilevel relationship between work and wellbeing - the effects of regulatory frameworks of employment (including industrial relations) on work organisation and workplace social structures. She is interested in occupational health and safety issues, particularly in psychosocial working environment and the area of social support and wellbeing. Her doctoral thesis will look into the issues of flexicurity policies, temporary agency work, quality of work and employee wellbeing in Sweden, Belgium and Poland using a comparative company–based cross–national approach in co–operation with University of Wroclaw and the University of Leuven.
